DONATING TO THE AMERICAN RED CROSS

The American Red Cross provides assistance to people in need...free of charge. Your contribution means a great deal to the organization...but even more to the families who rely on the Red Cross to help them through some of the most difficult times of their lives.

The American Red Cross is not a government agency. We must rely on the generosity of the American public. With your ongoing support, we will continue to be there providing people in crisis with relief for today and hope for tomorrow.

A planned gift to the Red Cross helps to ensure the future of the services and programs we provide in your community and worldwide and may further your financial goals. What are planned gifts? Planned gifts include gifts through your will, charitable gift annuities, gifts of life insurance, pooled income funds, and charitable trusts. For more information on making a planned gift to the Red Cross, please call us at (920) 922-3450.

Bequests

(top)

Many of our supporters make charitable gifts by naming the Red Cross as a beneficiary in their wills.

Life Income Gift

(top)

You irrevocably transfer some assets to the Red Cross now, and in return, you (and a survivor, if you wish) receive income for life.

Gift of Life Insurance

(top)

Some of our supporters no longer need their life insurance, which was purchased years ago to provide for children or other family members, and donate the policy to the American Red Cross.

Pooled Income Fund

(top)

Your gift of money, marketable securities, or both is invested together with similar gifts from other supporters.

Charitable Lead Trust

(top)

Individuals with very large estates can use a charitable lead trust to benefit the American Red Cross and pass principal to family members with little or no tax penalty.

Gifts of Retirement Plans

(top)

Your IRA assets will be transferred to a charitable remainder trust, the trust will provide life income to the beneficiary, and then an eventual gift to the Red Cross.

In order to provide its services, the Red Cross relies on generous contributions from the public and the United Way.

Together, we can save a life.
